This family villa in Emirates Hills necessitated bespoke interiors to continue the contemporary spirit of the building’s architecture and sunlight-flooded spaces.
On entering the home, the main entrance is a triple height volume, that leads straight ahead to the living and dining areas and to the garden/ pool beyond; to the left, to the Master Bedroom and the Kitchen, and to the right, to the contemporary staircase leading to the first floor spaces.
The main staircase in the hallway and the secondary staircase within the Master Bedroom are custom detailed and manufactured to fit each space and volume exactly. Both staircases have open wooden treads supported by a steel structure. The main staircase has a stainless-steel wire/plate designed balustrade and solid wooden handrail while the secondary staircase is simplified with a solid vertically-cantilevered frame-less glass balustrade.
The kitchen is custom designed and manufactured with concealed and integrated kitchen appliances from Miele and fittings from Hafele into 18mm thick cabinetry. The preferred finish for all the wall units is gloss white while the central four-metre island is has gloss-finished Rosewood fronted drawers, stainless steel trim and one seamless continuous top with integrated Miele appliances. The bespoke four-metre cooking island top is manufactured from resin mixed with marble powder. Power sockets are provided in the island through integrated ‘pop-up’ components that neatly disappear when not in use.
Similarly, all Walk-in Wardrobes for all bedrooms are fitted with custom-detailed and manufactured bespoke cabinetry and Hafele moving/ locking fittings; bedrooms are fitted with Murphy drop-down beds concealed behind custom made cabinetry with folding-sliding doors.
Bathrooms are designed with walk-in showers complete with designer fittings from Bagno and bespoke manufactured vanity units. The Master bathroom shower has additional water-jets while the room itself has a ‘galaxy’ effect fibre-optic ceiling to for those truly unique bath times.
